Authentication/Legalization

For Ethiopian passport/Ethiopian origin ID holders

Application requirements 

1. A document notarized by a Notary Public and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs Canada (Legalization Section)

2. Valid Ethiopian passport or Ethiopian Origin Identification card copy;

3. Additional Photo (Identification card); and

4. Authentication fee

5. A self-addressed EXPRESS PREPAID return envelope must be attached when an application is submitted by mail.

     $ 85.32 CAD/ document for property, business or court decision documents:

• $ 81.19 CAD/ document for all other documents

2. Authentication fee

•  $130.72 CAD/document for property, business or court related documents
•  $123.84 CAD/document for all other documents

Driver's License Authentication

Application requirements:
1. A Federal driver’s license authenticated by Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and
2. Original valid driving license
3. Copy of Ethiopian passport for valid Ethiopian passport holder
4. Copy of permanent residence card and,
5. Legalization fee
• $81.19 CAD for Ethiopian passport holders

Eritrean power of attorney for their property in Ethiopia

Application requirements

1.A document notarized by a Notary Public and authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs Canada (Legalization Section);
2.A self-addressed EXPRESS PREPAID return envelope must be attached when an application is submitted by mail.
3. Authentication fee

• $130.72 CAD/document for property, business or court related documents
• $123.84 CAD/document for all other documents
